Woodcraft in Romania

Romania is known for its traditional know-how regarding the manufacture of various wooden objects. This practice is ancestral but began to be lost during the communist era when all craftsmen were forced to work in factories. However, after the fall of the regime, craftsmen who found themselves without jobs regained their know-how.
