LARD CONFIT “JUMARI” – CRUNCHY AND SWEET

Confit is one of the most common techniques for preserving bacon and pork in traditional Transylvanian cuisine. I will show you here the pieces that we call “jumari”, or pieces of nicely browned bacon that go wonderfully with onions, garlic and one or more glasses of tuica, fruit brandy, mainly plums.

ingredients: raw bacon, milk (lactose) and salt;

Storage conditions: +2 / +20 degrees C

Product obtained by melting bacon.

Product packaged in a 200 gr plastic casserole dish.
