CENTRAL TRANSYLVANIA

“Complex wine that develops floral and fruity aromas. On the nose, scents of lemon flowers, grapefruit, notes of asparagus and boxwood. On the palate, there are accents of exotic fruits, grapefruit, apricot with a finish of fresh bread”

The Terra Romana estate (from which the Fetasca alba Terra Romana comes from) was acquired in 1993. Four years after the revolution, Count Guy de Poix (owner of the Peraldi estate in Corsica) chose Romania for the quality potential of these regions wineries.

The objective of the Terra Romana estate is to produce high-end wines from local grape varieties such as Feteasca Negra and Feteasca Alba. Terra Romana wines are produced in the AOC Dealu Mare in the center of Romania, in the county of Buzau. This region, where the vineyard dates back to the 14th century, is characterized by a climate close to that of Bourgogne.

The 2000s saw the construction of a winery in the town of Ceptura (Dealu Mare region) equipped with the latest technologies, a vat room and an air-conditioned cellar. A team of French and Romanian oenologists produce the different cuvées together.

This Fetească Albă comes from a plantation established in the year 2012, on land located at the base of the ridge, on a 30% slope, with southern exposure. Production does not exceed 7.5 t/ha, and the harvest is done by hand, before the sun becomes too strong.
