Since February 1, 2022<\/h4>\n

European affairs ministers gathered in Brussels and adopted a new recommendation to standardize traffic rules between member states.<\/p>\n

What was specifically recommended?<\/h4>\n

It is recommended that in the future, one of the following three credentials will suffice for travel between EU countries:<\/p>\n

– Proof of vaccination valid up to 9 months after the last dose of vaccination
\n– Proof of cure valid for up to 6 months after infection
\n– Proof of test: PCR test 72h before departure or antigen test 24h before[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Are these new rules binding?<\/h4>\n

No! This new recommendation is a non-legally binding act. This means that all Member States are recommended to stick to these rules but the authorities of each State continue to decide alone whether or not to implement the recommendations.<\/p>\n

When does the rules come into effect?<\/h4>\n

The rule – not the implementation – comes into effect tomorrow, February 1, 2022.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
